Some lovely things with a February theme

This week I am promoting team mates from various teams I am a member of on Etsy as well as things I just love that are not.. I'm choosing things with a February theme as this is a great month for decision making and plans for the year ahead

My first choice is this necklace from Star of the East. A mother-daughter shop specialising in sea urchin- beach boho - exotic jewellery from Turkey

I'm going for this necklace called 'Road to Damascus as this year I would really love to do some traveling and their pieces are perfect for a boho hippy look. This ties to Feb as a month for planning and inspiration

My second choice is this collection of ceramic coasters from Damson Tree Pottery. I simply Adore! everything Marieanne makes and these make me dream of a house where coasters are actually a thing that is possible.
These are a new design, made to order and are different from her usual style but have a great 'traveler' feel to them. I rather like the idea of carrying a teapot, teacup/sauce and coaster in my suitcase as I go along the way

Third item is a fabulous gingham tunic dress from Nuvonova that is oh so sweet and attractive, I can see it in many wearways with leather boots, little black heels or strappy sandals and a lace knitted cardi

Fourth choice-  I adore elephants and this  patina ear cuff from  Paisley Ghost is oh so gorgeous! I'd need to updo my hair to show it off but it would be worth it. Maybe just  up on one side.....?

Fifth one is from Cool Vintage. A gorgeous vintage wooden tray in duck egg blue with a gorgeous filing system no stamped on the front. I can see it in the workshop right bow, filled with bits and pieces, needles pinks, ribbon and lace

Focus on Scarves

As I currently don't have the room to work on dresses so I am compiling a list of the fabrics that are suitable including some fab Indian chiffon I got last Monday that is being dry cleaned ( its new fabric, but I just like it to be perfect for you all) and some pale blush cotton/silk mix which is soo soft its incredible.

I'm considering using some cotton gauze as I came across some  the other day made from it and  hand dyed in natural materials with a stunning raw edged softness

I could wear these everyday  just for beauty and never tire. They are lightweight, warm and perfect for all seasons. I was also canny enough to get some eucalyptus leaves for dyeing and I can see the orange leaf print looking amazing on such softness.

I am also looking for a UK or European supplier for Venise Lace Trim, its so beautiful and looks like teardrops and falling petals but I can find no one outside of Hong Kong that sells it. It features heavily in Turkish style scarves but I seem unable to find anyone closer to home that I can use

Handmade Clay Charms

All this gorgeous sunshine has made me get my clay and and charm up the studio. I love air dry clay as its easy to work with, easy to clean and I can make fabulous things without having to have a kiln, which I would love but do not have.

Today I've been using my letter stamps and natural finds to create some lovely terracotta coloured pieces with a boho theme.

 Materials for my adventures

#1 is hand stamped with the word 'travel'  with two holes in it to use as a button
#2 is 'earth' with a single hole for stringing
#3 is 'stone' no hole as I think this will look great as a plain little shelf decoration or grounding piece
#4 'run' for those days we all have
#5 'fly away; who doesn't have those dreams of being a bird
#6 'love' what we all want above all other things
#7 is my thumbprint which is a very personal thing. Ones thumbprint is the invisible mark we leave on everything we do
#8 is a piece of vintage lace pressed onto the clay
#9 is the bark of a dried up flower stem
 #10 mulberry flower print
 #11 is the word 'leaf'
 #12 is 'tree'

Some lovely things with a Valentines Theme

I thought today I would share with you all some lovely items from my team members from TeamCB on Etsy

#1 are these gorgeous pastel cupcake fridge magnets from Marieanne of DamsonTree Pottery. If I had a fridge that wasn't on the floor and therefor prone to decorations being knocked off I would cover it in these

#2 is this fantastic hand decorated trinket box from Fiona at Bellecardsandgifts.
I chose this circus box because of its pretty feminine style and I love Circus themed items as well as anything with stripes

#3 is something that I just adore. This multi layered leather wrap bracelet from JCUDesigns is feminine with a nice edginess with the rustic leather and the soft pink tones

#4 is this gorgeous handmade paper bowl from Sally of OkiFolki. She specialises in paper art and these trinket bowls are one of her newest creations

#5 are these fab hand poured  heart shaped crayons from Danielle of Colour Me Fun who makes these wonderfully funky crayons that are perfect for children and adults

I hope you all enjoyed my Valentines picks. I hope to do a weekly feature of team mates so any suggestion of themes would be lovely
